More information on the National Disability Insurance Scheme

What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing support for Australians with disability, their families and carers. As an insurance scheme, the NDIS takes a lifetime approach, investing in people with disability early to improve their outcomes later in life. The NDIS gives all Australians peace of mind that if their child or loved one is born with or acquires a permanent and significant disability they will get the support they need. The NDIS supports people with disability to build skills and capability so they can participate in the community and employment.

ODEEP is a registered NDIS provider and will deliver services in the Orange, Blayney and Cabonne Local Government Areas.

How does it work?

If you are eligible for the NDIS, you will receive funding on an annual basis to purchase the services, aids and equipment that you have been assessed as needing from the service provider/providers of your choice such as ODEEP.

I am currently receiving services and support from ODEEP. What will the NDIS mean for me?

ODEEP is a registered NDIS provider.

We understand that a change this big may be overwhelming  so we are committed to working with your family to ensure that the transition to NDIS meets your needs and is as effective as possible. If we currently provide services and support to your child and family we can continue to partner with you to assist in the development of plans and to continue providing those services and supports.
